About My Group Of Ocs!

 Story Summary

Since humans were around, there were magical guardians helping them out with little problems, because their weak little human bodies couldn't handle it on their own. The first one was Gigi, who represented Geothermal Energy, meaning stuff like natural hotsprings that helped humans stay warm in extreme temperatures. Eventually, when humans discovered that some cool black rocks were better at starting fire than regular wood, Colette was created. Having been alone for thousands of years, Gigi was overjoyed to finally have another guardian to hang out with. Although humans were good company, their tiny little lifespans made them a real bummer to hang out with after the first 40 years. Eventually, Gigi and Colette fell in love. When the industrial revolution hit, Colette started having far more responsibilities and burdens than Gigi. For the first while their relationship was just a little strained. When Gigi found out about how fossil fuels were affecting nature, she and Colette got in a fight. Between Gigi getting sick of Colette ignoring her, and Colette being stressed with her new responsibilities, they had a super messy breakup. Gigi ended up taking up lots of hobbies to have a healthy outlet for her feelings, but Colette, having a super busy schedule, turned to alcohol and tobacco to distract herself. When Heidi and Airyn popped up in the 1880s, Gigi took it upon herself to show them the ropes and discourage them from being like Colette. Heidi slowly began doing more and more work to try to impress Gigi, but ended up being overlooked pretty often, while Airyn didn't care all that much about what Gigi thought and became really independant, accidentally taking credit for some of Heidi's acheivments. When Sola first appeared, she was put up on a pedestal and viewed as the perfect solution. Although Sola was capable of doing a lot, being expected to do everything on her own put a lot of pressure on her. A couple years later, Rani joined the group. She took a lot off of Sola's shoulders, but was pretty unstable so she didn't get along with the more energetic or strict girls like Gigi and Airyn. As Rani's boundries kept being ignored or pushed by some of the other girls in the group and humans, he eventually snapped and alienated himself from the other girls. Colette used Rani's freak out as a way to argue that Rani and the other 4 girls were unreliable and that they weren't worth investing in. Although Sola remained friends with Rani and Gigi still made an attempt to be her mentor, Rani's relationship with Airyn and Haidi never recovered.

Gigi, Heidi, and Sola continuously tried to convince Colette to take a break, and let them help, but Colette's self image and worth relied almost completely on how good she was at her job, so she antagonized the other girls and refused help. Airyn, completely fed up with Colette dismissing the other girls, yelled at her and threatened to take jobs from her whether she agreed to or not. Although Colete initially thought the other girls would fail, as she saw more people using other power sources than her, she pushed harder to remove them. Colette failed, and ended up with a lot fewer responsibilities. Instead of using her new freedom to get like, a hobby or something, she relied heavier on substances and constantly harassed the other girls. Although she slowly got help and stopped sucking, Colette was never forgiven for her actions, and was left to sulk while the other 5 helped eachother and lifted eachother up. Sola became sort-of acquaintances with Colette, but never fully forgive or befriended her.
